One surprise is that they're divided in thirds, and our cats use the ends of the litter box - so the two segments on the ends of the pad get used fairly quickly, and when I throw the pad away the center section is still clean. But, you probably can't teach an old cat new tricks...well...you probably can't teach ANY cat ANY tricks! Amazon has the best value on these. Other places are charging $10 for a pack of four pads. 1 of 1 found this review helpful: Reduced Workload, 2008-06-01 Every time I changed my kitty litter box, my Tom Cat felt he had to go use it. The original system I used consisting of cat litter created a chore for me. I was constantly removing clay lumps due to urine mixing with the cat litter and my cat was tracking cat litter. The Breeze System is perfect if you would like a cleaner, fresh smelling home in the area where your cat relieves himself or herself. The breeeze pads absorb urine, so you need to replace it only once a week. Even after a week, the pad does not leak, making replacement easy. I tried to substitute puppy pads, which created a mess because the puppy pads could not hold much liquid and leaked into the breeze tray. The only issue I have encountered is locating replacements at a retailer. I turned to the Internet, because the store where I purchased the Breeze system can't seem to keep the pads in stock.Tidy Cat Breeze Cat Litter Pad, 4-Count Refill, (Pack of 5) 3 of 3 found this review helpful: Fantastic!, 2008-05-19 The entire Breeze system is a miracle. The cat litter pads hold an enormous amount and are so easy to change. Simply fold over from one end and into the trash. No more trying to scoop lumps of liquid that fall apart and smell. I have several cats, so litter box cleaning was a real chore. The Breeze system takes under 5 minutes a day to maintain. Also no lugging heavy bottles and boxes of cat litter. Just a light weight little pad! Why didn't someone come up with this years ago.! I will never go back to conventional cat litter.
